This Friday Find is a twofer, both dairy related.
First up, another bottle. This time it’s from the Timber Grove Dairy, which was the business of Mr. George Burgerding. Their dairy was down on O’Donnell Street, but it seems at least one of their bottles made it all the way up to Eager Street. The bottle dates from 1924.
Then we have part of a sign from what we’ve determined to be the (Fairfield) Western Maryland Dairy which was at the intersection Linden and Dolphin in Bolton Hill. Their headquarters can be seen below- that space is now occupied by the Bolton House apartments.
The sign was likely hung on a nearby corner store and is from the late 1920s.
